This recipe is very close to my heart at it is my mums, when i was little i would watch my Mum in the kitchen making quiche, now i make it just the way she does. This recipe can be changed to fit what ever filling your family love. My mum loves cheese and tomato, thats the one that always makes me think of her everything time i eat a slice.
This is my version of my Mums Quiche.
You will need..
3 Beaten eggs 1
Whole Onion Chopped
Quarter pint of Milk
6 Bacon Reachers with fat removed and
chopped in to small pieces
Broccoli heads cut in half
Pre heat the oven to 180 C (350F)
To Make the Pastry case place your short crust pastry in your pie dish. Don’t chop any excess pastry of as your case might shrink while cooking. Blind bake till golden.
While the base is cooking heat the oil in a frying pan and cook of the Onions and Beacon, also bring a pan of boiling water to the boil to cook the broccoli heads. Mix your beaten eggs and milk together in a jug.
Once everything is cooked place in a bowl and leave to one side.
Bring the case out of the oven and cover the bottom of your case with the onion and bacon mixture and place the broccoli head on top.
Slowly poor over the eggs and milk mix and add your grated cheese.
Cook for around 45 minutes or till the filling dosent wobble.
