A day exploring London

Iv never had the chance to really see  London, every time I have visiting in the past I have never got the chance to explore and be a proper tourist. We started on Oxford street and walked to Harrods stopping along the way to look in shops and take photos, from Harrods we walked on to Buckingham palace, Big Ben and Trafalgar square.

After walking though a Trump protest, we then headed to M&M world and China town. I loved china town, we spent a bit of time exploring and taking photos, we also looked in a few Chinese sweet shops. On our way back to the car we walked though Soho and went to The Humming bird bakery for a few cupcakes!

Once we got in the car home we realized we have had walked over 11 miles !! Tip – wear comfy shoes!!!

There is still a lot of London still left to see but this trip has made me want to spend more time in the city. I will definitely be booking a weekend away to London soon!

Studio Calico February Kit

Studio Calico’s kits just keep getting better! February’s kit is full of unique embellishments from stickers, wooden pink stars and a small stamp set. The cards this month future a good mix of patterned cards and simple cards! The one thing I really love about this months kit is that there is a lot of seasonal elements, perfect for making a valentine’s day layout!

In the next few days ill be sharing more layouts from my 2017 album, which will feature my trip to London and also my Valentines day page in which ill be using a few products from this months kit!

Project life 2016 Part One

I started my Project Life journey a few months into 2016, I wanted a new way to document, I wanted what I create to look grown up and I wanted to be proud to show it off. This year my love for memory keeping has become a passion and it’s all down to Project Life. Today I want to share the first part of my 2016 album with you all!

What I use to create my layouts

  • Project Life App – At the moment I don’t have my own printer, so I was finding it hard to print my photo’s to the right size to fit my page protectors. That was until I found The Project Life app. You simply add the photo’s to an already sized page, then save to your device. They’re now already to print!
  • Documenter Kits – I live in the UK and the only craft store is Hobby Craft which isn’t the best store if you’re looking for fun and unique embellishments. Each month I receive a themed documenter kit though the post, it’s full of filler cards and embellishments. They really inspire me and make my album really look fresh and exciting. (Check out my blog for past kits)
  • Core kits – Core Kits are a box full of different filler cards, at the moment I only have the holidays Core Kit which features cards for every holiday throughout the year. I really love this kit. The next on my list is the Everyday Edition, this kit is full of black and gold foil cards and as the name suggests you could use their cards everyday.

I hape you enjoyed taking a look inside my first Project Life album, in the next few months ill share more of my layouts and also a few of my favourite products.

Project life

I started project life a few months ago, I wanted a new way to document, I had enough of everything looking messy and unfinished, all the pages I created seemed to lack something. Since starting project life I have created a few page layouts, I have changed them so many time’s. Thats one of the resigns I love this way of documenting my memories.

Last month I posted an Update to my first few page’s in my 2016 Photography  album, today I’m going to show you what have changed.

These are the the first pages in my album, to create the welcome page I used the Becky Higgins Midnight Edition PL papers. All the cards and embellishments are from the Scout Documenter kit by Studio Calico. I really love the simplicity of this welcome page.

On the first page layout I wanted to stay with the black and gold but also wanted a 3rd colour to balance it out. So I used green striped card to mount my Instax photo’s and I feel like this just added a little pop of colour but still matches in wIth the reset of the rest of the layout!

The fillers cards I used were all from the Scout Documenter Kit from Studio Calico.

These two pages are far from finished but wanted to share with you the thinks Iv used and the ideas iv had to create these layouts. As this album is all about the photos I take in 2016 I wanted to keep it simple with not much embellishing. The white Summer Time card is the back of the Winter Time card from the prevous page. I have also used Amy Tangerine alphas and also Becky Higgins Holiday’s Edition PL cards. (Green hashed cards)

Again all these layouts are still a work in progress, a few of them are waiting for me to find some filler cards and other are waiting for me to print more photos out. But I’m really loving the way this album is turning out.
