Studio Calico February Kit

Studio Calico’s kits just keep getting better! February’s kit is full of unique embellishments from stickers, wooden pink stars and a small stamp set. The cards this month future a good mix of patterned cards and simple cards! The one thing I really love about this months kit is that there is a lot of seasonal elements, perfect for making a valentine’s day layout!

In the next few days ill be sharing more layouts from my 2017 album, which will feature my trip to London and also my Valentines day page in which ill be using a few products from this months kit!

“October” Studio Calico Documenter Kit

Hi Guys, this moments Studio Calico kit arrived a little later than normal so after a busy week at work I’m finally getting the chance to tell you all about it! When Studio Calico release a sneak peek of the next months kit I really wasn’t impressed, as its October wanted to show the season in colour just like every other month. But this kit seemed to much like spring and summer then fall!

This kit isn’t my favourite and some of the products I personally wouldn’t use. But I do like the mix of colours and patterns in this months selection of cards.

A few of my personal favourites from this moths kit are the clear gold letters these would be perfect for adding a small gold touch to layouts and also perfect for the upcoming christmas pages!

The next favourite is the Stamp set! I love receiving stamp sets in the kit’s for one they make me feel like I’m getting my months worth and also they are so fun to use. They make the perfect addition to simple cards!

Last but not least Chip board stickers, I can’t get enough of them!

What did you think to this months kit? What other Project life monthly kits can you recommend?

HOBO Soy Candles ~ Fig & Cassis

Hi everyone, at the beginning of the week I received my first parcel from Bright Paper Packages and I’m going to tell you all about one of the products I got inside.

As everyone one knows, I have an obsession with candles so when I saw that they had scent one of the most beautiful smelling candles I was so excited! HOBO Soy Candles are handmade in a workshop in Lincolnshire which is only a few miles away from me! I am a big fan of soy candles as they are eco-friendly and a cleaner burning which means there’s no toxins like regular candles! Soy candles are made from soya beans/oil and Rachael the creator of HOBO hand pours them her self and adds a natural wooden wick which will make you think you’re sitting next to a crackling log fire!! I received the French Fig and Cassis Crackelwood, it smells amazing! I have to say from all the candles I have tried (and there have been a lot!) this one is definitely my favourite. I love the smell and I love the way it burns!  I will definitely be purchasing more of these gorgeous candles for myself and for gift giving!

I hope you enjoyed the quick post about a really lovely local independent company please go check them out! What are your favourite candle companies, I’m always on the hunt for more candles!
